As the son of the also new science teacher, the boy inspired a mixture of respect, admiration, envy and curiosity in others, so it was not easy for him to make new friends. Love between classmates
- The perfect girl in question was named Daniela and it didn’t take her long to pay Alex back. And it is that Daniela had also fallen in love at first sight. But not from Alex, but from his father. She had fallen in love with the new science teacher. She considered Alex as an opportunity to get closer to her love.
- Thus, Daniela let herself be loved, laughed with Alex, humored him with the little love notes that he passed under the table, and they ended up forging a complicity worthy of the closest couple. Alex could hardly believe her luck. Daniela would smile at her, she would look for him at recess and they would even meet up after school to study together. Were they dating? They hadn’t discussed it, but it was the closest thing he’d ever had to a girlfriend.
- Even so, he did not dare to give Daniela that first kiss that he so longed for. She had tried it one Friday night at the bowling alley, after they had spent the afternoon together in the library and had felt the touch of her knees and Daniela’s smile. She also tried it one afternoon in the park when they threw the notes into the air in a rebellious attack. She had tried several times, but at the last moment, when her faces got too close, something always happened and she, Daniela, moved away from her.
Unrequited love
- Daniela insisted over and over again to leave the library or the park and stay at Alex’s house to study. But the boy was not in the business of taking Daniela to his house. And that her father had asked him several times about his new friend. It was precisely that interest of his father that made Alex want to keep his moments with Daniela to himself.
- Alex knew perfectly well what his father provoked in his students, he had experienced it the previous two years. Because the science teacher was the typical high school teacher who occupies the dreams of teenage students and, furthermore, he was very comfortable in his role as his platonic love. So comfortable that Alex sensed that he had crossed the threshold of platonic love more than once with one of his students. He would not allow the same thing to happen to Daniela.
- But it happened. Daniela didn’t give up so easily and if Alex didn’t want to take her to her house, she would go herself. It was a Saturday afternoon, that instead of calling him, she went directly to her house. Alex was not there, but her father received her with a huge smile. The three hours that Daniela spent at the science teacher’s house, she would never forget. Instead, she soon forgot Alex, whom she hadn’t met since that day.
