Love story at school: the girl who always looked for love

Violeta always believed in love. At her thirty-something she felt disappointed after her latest sentimental failure, but she did not lose hope of finding her prince charming from her. Because since she was little she had been told love stories of princes and princesses who loved each other forever and, in addition, she had the example of her parents who wanted to be hers madly.

She had been looking for love for as long as she could remember, and yet her sentimental history was too long in terms of names and men and too short in success. Every time she broke up a relationship, Violeta remembered who she believed to be her true love. And so, evoking his love of hers from her school, the pain of the breakup eased between dreams and memories.

Remember the love of school

  • She must have been about 10 years old when Violeta realized that she was different from the other boys and girls in her class. She always drawing hearts, always looking into the children’s eyes for a glimpse of something else. But they were kids, and 10-year-olds aren’t too interested in their partner’s feelings. Thus, Violeta often received ridicule from the rest of the class for always walking around with her eyes lost in some dream of love.
  • One fine day a boy from his class, Pablo, approached him. Violeta thought that he would come to make fun of her, but it was not like that. Pablo took her hand and left her a piece of paper folded into what seemed to Violeta an infinity of pieces. She was never going to get the paper unfolded, because before her heart would jump out of her chest. When she got to the end, Violet saw a drawn heart and a flower. And also the name of the neighborhood park and a written time.
  • It was an appointment for that same afternoon. A love date with one of the most popular kids in school. Violeta told her parents her love story project and they warned her to be careful, because at 10 years old she still had many experiences in love. But Violeta went to the park convinced that Pablo was the love of her life. She was as convinced as she was more than 20 years later.

Love problems in childhood

  1. It happened in the park. Pablo and Violeta sat together on a bench and, indeed, Pablo gave her a flower. But not so his heart. The awkward first kiss sealed what was to be a secret relationship because Pablo didn’t want the other kids in his class to find out about his weakness. And Violeta accepted that secret love agreement because her need for love was greater than her need for recognition.
  2. And the two children began to go out together, they became boyfriends at the age of 10, but secret boyfriends. A relationship that was maintained throughout that school year and during the following one as well until a long summer vacation robbed Pablo of his interest in Violeta. In any case, Violeta was so happy with those innocent kisses stolen under the trees in the park that she couldn’t forget Pablo. And she, too, could not forget how her sentimental life began, with a secret, something that would forever mark their relationships with her. Maybe it was time to grow up.
